A Laugh from the Past

This 2013 Me had such a naive idea about being a writer. I felt personally offended (for who knows why) when Halliday said that there was no such thing as "pure creativity" (no need to correct me on this, that's just what 2013-Kat says....).
It's funny how much your perspective can change when you read an article for the second time after FOUR YEARS and 8 semesters!
I had this totally romanticized idea back then about what a writer really was that I didn't truly realize or appreciate actual rhetoric....and the fact that Theory is a little fun.....

I really got a kick out of reading all my notes from 2013 and not understanding some of them or realizing just how stupid I was when I really thought I was being smart and cool..... 😅😂

I don't even know why I wrote "disagree" in the margins! Why would I disagree with Halliday?

PS I probably thought it was just cool to start highlighting a college textbook- and even cooler since I was an English major highlighting a textbook about writing! 😯🤓
